This interactive dashboard provides data and analysis on child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) for 41 countries in Western Europe and South Asia in your language of choice. Select your preferred language from the translation toolbar from the top of the screen. Further countries will be added in future updates, with global coverage by 2028.

To access available country level data, click on the "Explore our data" filter and select a country. If you are using a desktop or laptop computer or tablet, you can also access this by hovering over the map and clicking on a country. image of the region and country selectors After you have accessed a country page you can view several categories of data within three indicator areas: CSAM, victimisation and frontline data.

As well as country-level data for South Asia and Western Europe, you can interact with regional level data available for East Asia & Pacific, Eastern & Southern Africa, Eastern Europe & Central Asia, Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East & North Africa, North America, South Asia, West & Central Africa and Western Europe. This was first produced for our 2024 index.

If you are using a desktop, laptop or tablet, you can access this regional data by clicking anywhere on the map and selecting the 2024 regional findings option. If you are using a mobile, you can access regional date by clicking on the blue "Into the Light Index 2024" button.

Some countries may not have some data available or were not analysed, and if this is the case you will see a message with an option to contact the Childlight team.

For in-depth analysis of the data, click on the "Supplemental Thematic Analysis Report" button. This synthesises results across all indicators and data areas to identify key data findings, patterns and actionable insights.

Click on "Technical Note" to access detailed methodological information for readers seeking to understand how the index was developed, including details on the data sources, analytical strategies and computational and coding frameworks, as well as limitations from the data.

The " Glossary" section provides a list of terminologies used across the index, many of which are specific to CSEA (Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse)

The " Archived Data" section provides access to the index data sources which, in principle, allows the analysis to be reproduced or for alternative analyses to be undertaken.

Finally, if you encounter any difficulties using the dashboard, wish to ask any questions or if you have data or information that you believe would strengthen the index as it develops, please select the "get in touch" option to contact us.
